Hi! My name is Stacy Bowman. I am a happy transplant to the Low Country and have done my very best to immerse in the local festivals, activities and culture. I spend my free time with an occasional bridge walk and paddle board ride! I am a parent to 2 great kids, a cat and a new puppy and significant other to a Navy Veteran.
Coffee and candy are my vices when needing a bit of self care. I love trying out new foods, whether at home or a new local restaurant. Mostly spending time with loved ones is my favorite past time.
My practice also partners with Bridges Psychiatry located on Daniel Island and in Beaufort. The benefit of this relationship is easy and quick access to medical professionals as well as being able have flexibility with service related payment options of either insurance or cash fee. Check out link on "contact me" page for more information.
I have received my BS from Bowling Green State University and attended graduate school at University of Kentucky and University of the Rockies. I have a MA in Psychology and completed all clinical coursework at Webster University. I currently hold a LPC-A and am supervised by a LPC-S. Additionally, I have training as a forensic interviewer for latency age children and crisis negotiation supporting local law enforcement. I have experience practicing Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) treatment modalities. I work regularly with First Responders professionally in the field and am honored to offer care in their personal lives. I have experience working with youth, families, victims of intimate partner violence and individuals.
