Hi! My name is Stacy Bowman. I am a transplant to the Low Country and have done my very best to immerse in the local festivals, activities and culture. I most recently moved from a mountainous area and have traded in my snowboard for an occasional bridge walk and paddle board ride! I am a parent to 2 great kids, a cat and a big hairy dog and significant other to a Navy Veteran.
Coffee and candy are my vices when needing a bit of self care. I love trying out new foods, whether at home or a new local restaurant. Mostly spending time with loved ones is my favorite past time.
I have received my BS from Bowling Green State University (Ohio) and attended graduate school at University of Kentucky and University of the Rockies. I have a MA in Psychology and completed all clinical coursework at Webster University. I currently hold a LPC-A and am supervised by a LPC-S. Additionally, I have training as a forensic interviewer (sex abuse) for latency age children and crisis negotiation supporting local law enforcement. I have experience practicing Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) treatment modalities. I have worked with First Responders professionally in the field and caring for them in their personal lives. I have experience working with youth, families, victims of intimate partner violence and individuals.
